Lantern requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included). NOTE: lanterns will last for over 24 hours of continuous use if using QUALITY batteries, and can be used over and over again. Folds flat when not in use for storage. On/off switch on bottom of base - easy to operate! If using as table decorations, you can attach some double-sided tape to the base of the lantern to prevent it being knocked over.
