From our humble beginnings in our Brisbane family home garage back in 2009, we have now expanded to become Australia's largest supplier of lanterns, parasols, fans and Chinese New Year decorations.  This year 2024, we celebrate our 15 year anniversary, and in April/May we are expanding again and moving our warehouse to Murwillumbah.

Inspiration has come from the founder of Lanternshop, Paisley, you would most likely have spoken to her on the phone or chatted with her on the chatline.

Back then, Containers were delivered directly to our garage!!

But as the business grew, we had to move out into a warehouse.

Eventually that warehouse became too small and we moved into another larger warehouse at Tweed Heads NSW, where all of our distribution takes place from (moving to Murwillumbah in April/May 2024).

We have a huge range of colours, designs and giant sized lanterns to suit home parties, weddings, corporate events, restaurants, hotels, shopping centre displays - any theme for any event!  We even design and manufacture our own lantern lighting to suit our range for stunning evening events. 

Chinese New Year is our busiest time of the year as we supply most of the shopping centres, clubs, banks and event planners their Chinese Lanterns and decorations.

With Paisley's background in interior design, she travels Asia to source the latest designs and ensure quality products are manufactured, even spending a couple of months each year in China learning to speak Chinese.  We custom design and print many of our lanterns, bunting, fans and parasols.  At Lanternshop we purchase and manufacture in bulk to keep our prices as low as possible, and to ensure we can provide large volumes of stock for corporate events, Chinese New Year, festivals etc.
